Dirty Filters?

11/4/2019

What’s your filter look like?
Hopefully not like this one. But we have found filters like this too often.
Why? We live in busy times. We may think about changing the filter but then our next thought could be . . . “ I don’t have time right now”  or  “ I’ll pick one up next time I’m out”. Realistically it is easier to put off than to get it
done.

What’s the harm?
Besides the obvious, “we don’t want to breathe that stuff”, it also can shorten the life of our Furnace or Air Conditioner, and it will cost us
more to heat and cool our home. Ok now it’s important.

What’s the solution?
A majority of homeowners in one survey have made the discovery that having their heating and cooling equipment professionally serviced at least once each season can make a substantial difference in efficiency and life of the equipment.

The annual spring and fall “tune-up” is actually one of the best home maintenance investments you can make. Why do I  say that? Your furnace and air conditioner are probably the most expensive appliance in your house. We know how important it is to change the oil in our vehicles and our home comfort equipment is not any different. Everyone knows “Murphy’s Law” – “If anything can go wrong, it will” .. and at the worst possible time. However, many of us chose to ignore  “the law of moving parts” which states equipment will someday wear out and like Murphy’s Law will wear out at the worst possible time, when that happens to your furnace or air conditioner it will usually leave you uncomfortable. The best way to avoid this outcome is to properly maintaining your home comfort equipment.
